Granada Nicaragua

Day 1
Travel to Granada (2 nights)
After picking you up at your hotel in Liberia or Arenal, we will travel by shared shuttle to the border with Nicaragua, you will pass through immigration and then continue the routes until Rivas about 12pm. From Rivas take another shuttle to Granada near to 12:30pm. After the check in at Casa San Francisco Hotel, you will have the rest of the day to explore the town on your own.

Day 2
Full day tour Masaya Volcano
You will go on a tour to Masaya Volcano and Catarina, where you will visit the active smoking crater & dormant crater. After the volcano, you will discover the Art Market and San Juan Del Oriente. The trip includes transportation, entrance fees, drink and bilingual guide. Duration of 6 hours and leaves daily at 8:30am.
(OPTIONAL) Half Day Tour City Tour in Granada or Leisure time (additional night)
You will discover the fabulous San Francisco Convent and Church containing archeological treasures from Isla Zapatera a primitive art exhibit and Indigenous museum. Transport by horse – drawn carriage. The trip includes transportation, entrance fees and bilingual guide. Duration of 3 hours and leaves twice daily at 9am or 2pm.

Day 3
Travel to San Juan Del Sur (2 nights)
After the breakfast you will be transferred in a shared shuttle to San Juan Del Sur.
Once you arrive to this small town along the sea, you will do check In at the Hotel Alcazar or similar. You will have the rest of the day to discover San Juan Del Sur and enjoy the beach.

Day 4
Catamaran Tour
The Catamaran trip departs at 1:00pm from San Juan Bay and sails to beautiful Playa Blanca for some swimming, snorkeling and relaxing. Depending on the season we often see whales, dolphins and turtles. You will fish while under sail (we often catch mackerel, tuna, and mahi mahi).
We leave Playa Blanca around 4:30pm and head back to San Juan del Sur. We arrive in the bay just in time to catch the magnificent sunset from the water about 5pm. The tour include open bar of rum, beer and nonalcoholic beverage, snacks and ceviche.

Day 5
Travel back to Costa Rica
After the breakfast and check out of Surf Ranch Resort, a shuttle will pick you up and take you to the border with Costa Rica. There, a guide will assist you with the immigration process out of Nicaragua and into Costa Rica. Another van will be waiting to continue your journey on the Costa Rica side. We can drop you off in Liberia, La Fortuna, San Jose or Puerto Viejo. It’s too an option to drop you off in Bocas Del Toro the next day.

Granada Hotel Option
Casa San Francisco
Set in a restored colonial home, this eclectic hotel in the city’s central historic district is a 2-minute walk from the San Francisco Convent, a 4-minute walk from ceramic artifacts at the Mi Museo and a 13-minute walk from Xalteva Park.
Quaint rooms with wood furnishings offer desks, free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs; some have private courtyards or balconies with pool views. Vibrant suites add canopy beds, minifridges and bathrooms with Spanish tiles.
Breakfast is free. There’s an outdoor pool, a colorful lobby lounge and a casual restaurant/bar. Other amenities include massages, a gym and a rooftop terrace.
San Juan del Sur Hotel Option
Hotel Victoriano
The Hotel Victoriano is a beach-front property in San Juan del Sur Bay. Free breakfast is included, and the property features an outdoor pool and Wi-Fi access. The property is housed in a historic building from the nineteenth century. The comfortable rooms are air-conditioned and feature a safe, cable TV and a minibar. Some rooms also have a balcony with sea views. The bathrooms are private and provide hot water and a hairdryer. Other features include Victorian architecture and a Gold-Rush history gallery with famous characters such as Mark Twain, Cornelius Vanderbilt and Ruben Dario.
