Day 1
You have two choices for transportation. You can take a comfortable shared shuttle ride that picks you up at your hotel in San José and drops you off at your Puerto Viejo accommodation or you will get picked up early from your hotel in San Jose (or Arenal area) for a thrilling whitewater rafting trip down Costa Rica’s most popular rafting river, Rio Pacuare! This is our most popular rafting trip and Costa Rica’s premier river trip.This is the ultimate blend of wilderness exposure and invigorating excitement! If you do not yet have a hotel for the night before you depart we recommend the #1 rated hotel in San Jose Hilton Garden Inn la sabana. If you prefer a boit closer to the city and perhaps a LGBT exclusive hotel we recommend Colours Oasis, a great option if you are looking for meeting other LGBT travelers
After this amazing adventure you will end the tour in Puerto Viejo which is located about another 2 1/2 away from the rafting site, our provider will continue you on there in their very comfortable mini-vans which will assure relaxation on to your next destination. Upon entering Puerto Viejo you will realize that you are not in Kansas anymore. You will be surrounded by lush rain forest on one side and the crystal blue Caribbean Sea. Nestled on the shores of the Caribbean Sea you will arrive to your hotel for the next three nights. Banana Azul, We are quite certain that after your first night you will want to stay even longer!
Day 2
Puerto Viejo
Today you can choose one of our exciting CFT Daily Tours! Choose from one of these popular tours like our newest Caribbeans Chocolate and Historical trail Tour on Mondays, or Cahuita National Park Hike and Waterfall Tour Tuesdays and Thursdays or The Animal Rescue Center and Punta Uva on Wednesday and Friday , Manzanillo Reserve and Monkey Trail.on Saturdays!
Day 3
Puerto Viejo
On this day You will be able to enjoy this relaxing massage with Pablo, our on site local Puerto Viejo Masseur on the beach at Banana Azul all while listening to the soothing sounds of the surrounding nature and crashing of the waves just steps away from your private massage hut. After relaxing you will have a delicious romantic dinner for two on the beach prepared especially for you!
Day 4
This will be your last day, you will be transfer back to your hotel in San Jose or to the airport in a comfortable shared shuttle. But if you would love to stay a couple more days we can arrange an add on to your vacations, we have multiple options and places to see like Bocas del Toro!
Puerto Viejo Hotel Option
Banana Azul:
Banana Azul is a small hotel north of town beachfront on Playa Negra. This small boutique hotel has been created with care using local products and a philosophy that emphasizes relaxation. Blooming gardens adorn the property, as do several freely-hanging hammocks and a meandering pond inhabited by fish and turtles. There is a restaurant, bar, pool and beach club.
The hotel consists of fourteen beautiful guest rooms with private baths, fans, and free wireless internet. Most rooms are on the second floor of the main building, and open onto a large veranda with sweeping ocean views and of the garden

Day 1 – Travel to Bocas del Toro and 2 hour activity
Days 2 – Discovering Bocas del Toro and Cayo Zapatillo Full day tour
(Only offered with 2 night package) You will be picked up early in the morning at your hotel to head directly to the border of Costa Rica and Panama. After crossing the border over the famous bridge of River Sixaola your driver will bring you to the Port of Almirante.
From there you head towards the Dolphin Bay, enjoying a light breakfast on the boat. At the Dolphin Bay you have time to observe dolphins in their natural environment before you’re heading towards Cayo Coral.
Day 3 – Depart Bocas del Toro for Puerto Viejo at 8am or 12pm, or San Jose at 6am

Bocas Paradise Hotel & Restaurant a neat, clean and cosy colonial-style building that’s perched over the transparent waters of the Caribbean, right in the center of this vibrant little town. The Bocas Paradise Restaurant seating overlooks the water out on the terrace where one can come or go by water taxi, as is customary here. Even if the walk is a few blocks, many residents and tourists alike opt to take the water route between destinations. The menu at the cafe is small, but rest assured that any choice is bursting with freshness and created with care.
Palma Royale:
The Only thing this places overlooks is the Sea! A big smile and warm welcome will greet you at the Hotel Palma Royale in Bocas del Toro, Panama. They have a great Main Street Location, 20 meters from the sea. Relax and enjoy a tropical and spacious feeling here with a host of personal touches.
