Accommodation options:
-The standard package includes Rustic Lodge in Monteverde which is centrally located. In Arenal, we selected Hotel San Bosco, in downtown La Fortuna. Features swimming pool, A/C, Cable TV, private bath, wireless internet, breakfast included.
-For a different experience, try an upgrade to more resort styled accommodations such as the Arenal Manoa, Silencio del Campo or the world famous Arenal Nayara. These properties are located out of town, a little closer to the volcano in mountain and garden settings. Your package price will be adjusted for the difference in room rate between the San Bosco and the chosen hotel.
-Optional accommodations at Arco Iris, Claro de Luna in Monteverde and Arenal Manoa,Silencio del Campo or Arenal Nayara. If you have another hotel in mind, let us know and we’ll advise if we can book that for you and what the price difference would be.

Taxes
Day 1
On your first day you will picked up at your hotel at either 8:00am or 2:30pm. If you need assistance with arranging the first night in San Jose we recommend Hilton Garden Inn La Sabana as our preferred hotel in San Jose. You will then head to Monteverde in a very comfortable shared shuttle mini van. The 4 hour drive will pass through many small towns and rolling green hills.. Make sure you bring a light jacket as it can get quite cool at this elevation. Upon your arrival you will check into your comfortable and cozy mountain lodge. We recommend Rustic Lodge, as it is located not far from town, which is great if you would like to check out some of the great local restaurants
Day 2
The second morning you can either explore on your own or take one of the very famous Cloud Forest Tours. In the afternoon you will travel from Monteverde to La Fortuna via our very popular Lake Crossing Tour. You will have many great opportunities to take photos of the lake with the amazing Arenal Volcano in the background. Upon your arrival you will check in for 2 nights in one of our preferred lodges, we highly recommend San Bosco which offers great rooms at affordable price. If you want a bit more luxury, opt for Arenal Manoa, Silencio del Campo or our personal favorite Arenal Nayara.
Day 3
The following day you will be picked up at your hotel at 8 AM to visit the La Fortuna Hanging Bridges. You can also choose a different tour (or more than one). Options include , the famous Sky Trek/Sky Tram Zipline/Canopy Tour, or the Lost Canyon for a canyoneering adventure! In the afternoon you will explore the 1968 Trail to learn more about the story of the eruption and get some fantastic views of the volcano. After the hike you can relax in the amazing hot springs (or you can choose from several other hot spring options in the area prices will vary). These hot springs are in a tropical garden setting and a great way to unwind from your hike. The night ends with an extensive and delicious dinner.
Day 4
Your tour ends with a shared shuttle transfer back to San Jose hotel or Airport. You can also add additional nights of accommodation in Arenal so you can explore more on your own or we can arrange transportation to, the Pacific or the Caribbean coast. In San Jose we recommend Hilton Garden Inn La Sabana and if you prefer to go to the Caribbean we recommend Banana Azul, just let us know your preferred final destination
