Not Included:
Extra fee for transport for pickup or drop-off at Arenal hotels which are further from La Fortuna than Tabacon Resort such as Arenal Lodge or Arenal Observatory Lodge. Additional nights lodging in San Jose or La Fortuna and Bocas del Toro can be added, rate varies depending on hotel selection, Taxes.

Day 1
You have two choices for transportation. You can take a comfortable shared shuttle ride that picks you up at your hotel in San José and drops you off at your Puerto Viejo accommodation or you will get picked up early from your hotel in San Jose (or Arenal area) for a thrilling whitewater rafting trip down Costa Rica’s most popular rafting river, Rio Pacuare! This is our most popular rafting trip and Costa Rica’s premier river trip.This is the ultimate blend of wilderness exposure and invigorating excitement! After this amazing adventure you will end the tour in Puerto Viejo which is located about another 2 1/2 away from the rafting site, our provider will continue you on there in their very comfortable mini-vans which will assure relaxation on to your next destination. Upon entering Puerto Viejo you will realize that you are not in Kansas anymore. You will be surrounded by lush rain forest on one side and the crystal blue Caribbean Sea. Nestled on the shores of the Caribbean Sea you will arrive to your hotel for the next three nights. Banana Azul, We are quite certain that after your first night you will want to stay even longer!
Day 2
Puerto Viejo
On our very popular Animal Rescue Center/Punta Uva Hike combination tour you can get close to and learn about wild cats, monkeys and snakes at the Jaguar Rescue Center.
There are plenty of shops and hip restaurants and cafes to choose from. Should you prefer something on the water we recommend another local favorite the Cahuita National Park option combines a guided hike through the jungle, a boat ride to Punta Cahuita and snorkeling. This is the number one destination in the area and you’re sure to see plenty of wildlife, in and out of the water. All snorkeling equipment is provided.
Day 3
Puerto Viejo
On this day You will be able to enjoy this relaxing massage on the beach at Banana Azul all while listening to the soothing sounds of the surrounding nature and crashing of the waves just steps away from your private massage hut. After relaxing you will have a delicious romantic dinner for two on the beach prepared especially for you!
Day 4
This will be your last day, you will be transfer back to your hotel in San Jose or to the airport in a comfortable shared shuttle. But if you would love to stay a couple more days we can arrange an add on to your vacations, we have multiple options and places to see like Bocas del Toro!
Puerto Viejo Hotel Option
Banana Azul:
Banana Azul is a small hotel north of town beachfront on Playa Negra. This small boutique hotel has been created with care using local products and a philosophy that emphasizes relaxation. Blooming gardens adorn the property, as do several freely-hanging hammocks and a meandering pond inhabited by fish and turtles. There is a restaurant, bar, pool and beach club.
The hotel consists of fourteen beautiful guest rooms with private baths, fans, and free wireless internet. Most rooms are on the second floor of the main building, and open onto a large veranda with sweeping ocean views and of the garden.

Only offered with 2 night package) You will be picked up early in the morning at your hotel to head directly to the border of Costa Rica and Panama. After crossing the border over the famous bridge of River Sixaola your driver will bring you to the Port of Almirante.
From there you head towards the Dolphin Bay, enjoying a light breakfast on the boat. At the Dolphin Bay you have time to observe dolphins in their natural environment before you’re heading towards Cayo Coral.
Day 3 – Depart Bocas del Toro for Puerto Viejo at 8am or 12pm, or San Jose at 6am
Bocas Hotel Options
Hotel Bocas del Toro:
Bordering the crystalline waters of the Caribbean Sea, the Hotel Bocas del Toro offers elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi. It has a restaurant opening onto the sea, and is a 20 minute walk from the airport. Elegantly decorated in nautical style, each room at the Bocas del Toro includes a flat-screen cable TV, air conditioning, and a coffee machine. Some of them have a balcony or patio. On a deck over the water, the restaurant has a menu based on seafood, and tropical and local dishes. A breakfast buffet is served every morning, and a snack bar with TV area is also available. The staff can arrange a tour along the archipelago and the coral reef, where diving, snorkeling and kayaking are also possible. After a busy day, guests can enjoy a variety of massages in their own room. The Carenero Island is a 10 minute boat ride away. An airport shuttle can also be arranged upon request.
Palma Royale:
The Only thing this places overlooks is the Sea! A big smile and warm welcome will greet you at the Hotel Palma Royale in Bocas del Toro, Panama.
They have a great Main Street Location, 20 meters from the sea. Relax and enjoy a tropical and spacious feeling here with a host of personal touches.
